I thought I didn't like mussels, but the mussels at Bar Crudo changed my mind. We came for happy hour and ordered mussels; they were so flavorful and delicious. Also got the lobster & beet salad, which was fun but needed more lobster and cheese. The fish tacos were good but messy. The star of the show was definitely the seafood chowder. I wished the bowl never ended; it was that good!

I love Bar Crudo, their crudo is spectacular and their fish chowder is so great. We love to come here for their fish tacos. This place has a great happy hour with decent prices. They get super busy during happy hour so service can get a little bit slow but it's a fun spot for after work or on a cute date night.

Bar Crudo is located in NOPA. My visit was during happy hour offered Monday - Saturday 5-630pm. You can order from a small list of discounted seafood items, beers for $5, and wines for $9. I ordered oysters, seafood chowder, and Manila clams. The oysters were small to medium and briny. The seafood chowder was light creamy, loaded with muscles, shrimp, squid, and fish.......so good. Service at the bar was ok. They were busy and the bartender was hustling. Bar Crudo is a good place to stop by for happy hour when you're in the neighborhood.

Stopped by Bar Crudo after work on a weekday, quickly seated with no wait, and had some amazing food. An absolute gem for seafood lovers, and their oysters are a must-try! The oysters were $2.50 each--fresh, briny, and perfectly shucked. The briny, sweet flavors of the oysters were a testament to how fresh they were--truly some of the best I've had in San Francisco. We also ordered a dozen herb jalapeño mussels (so flavorful!) and the fish tacos, which were light and delicious. What we ordered: * A dozen oysters * A dozen herb jalapeño mussels * Fish tacos Great spot for fresh seafood in a cozy, relaxed setting. Highly recommend!

We arrived at Bar Crudo right at 5pm with a reservation for a group of six and were seated promptly. We specifically came for happy hour, and it did not disappoint!! There were so many good options that we easily could have stuck to it, but we decided to explore the main menu as well, and I'm so glad we did. The quality of the sushi and seafood blew us away. Here's what we ordered: * Dozen Oysters: Absolutely delicious. The oysters were fresh, well-cleaned, and perfectly chilled * Seared Shishito Peppers: These had a bit of a crunch to them, which I personally enjoyed for the added texture. However, some in my group would have preferred them to be cooked until softer. * Clams with Chorizo: Packed with flavor! While the dish was delicious overall, the chorizo was a little overpowering for the delicate clam flavor. From the main menu: * Crudo Sampler: A standout! Each bite felt like a perfectly curated masterpiece of fresh fish and balanced flavors. Unique, light, and incredibly satisfying. * Yellowfin Tuna Tostada: Perfect crunch-to-bite ratio. This was a group favorite, and we'll definitely be ordering it again on our next visit. Bar Crudo delivered on every front--excellent service, fresh seafood, and a happy hour that's hard to beat. Highly recommend for a casual yet elevated dining experience!

I came in because I heard great things about their seafood chowder, and it was also happy hour, so we also ordered the Local Crispy Cod Tacos and a half dozen of their Oysters of the Day: in this case it was Drakes Bay Oysters. They were delicious with the sauce that came with it. The fish tacos were also good. The service was fast and prompt, and the ambiance was cozy. One more thing: I usually try not to rate a restaurant through this lens, but I'm happy to pass along compliments. Their bathroom was very well-maintained and clean.

One of a few places in SF that offers happy hour on the weekends! Made reservations on a Saturday and got seated almost immediately. Because we came for happy hour, we had to of course try their happy hour specials! We ordered the oysters (really fresh!), crispy cod tacos (really good), clams (also very good) and got the wine specials. Would definitely come back again for happy hour!

What a delight. Fresh and clean ambiance with friendly, informative service. Everything on the menu we had was delicious and fresh tasting. The server was helpful in steering us through what he felt might be helpful and complement what our interests were. Great wines to pair!

San Francisco, NoPa. April 2024. This is a long established and reliable place for a late afternoon happy hour of seafood, and wine or beer. Dinner is probably very pleasant here but it's all about the happy hour here for me. They open at 5:00 and for an hour and a half you can get their oyster of the day for $2 each. They specify a half or whole dozen on the menu but I think you can get just a few, or some number in between, too. And, they don't appear to limit how many you can order. If you're in the mood to get crazy with fresh shucked raw oysters on the halfshell, with mignonette + cocktail sauce + lemon, then you'll want to venture out this way. They listed 6 oysters available but the daily happy hour one was Drake's Baja oyster. These were small shells with small to medium oysters, probably a variety of Kumamoto. Hit the oyster w just a couple of drop of lemon to get creaminess and a medium textured bite. Then slurp a bit of the oyster liquor - it is very briny, reflecting a salinty of the ocean in Baja - go easy on the oyster liquor or your palate will get overwhelmed by the salt. There is also a herb and jalapeno marinated chilled mussel, for $2 apiece, that is nice with something sparkling. The HH seafood chowder has a lot of variety and is not too thick. I thought the HH steam manila clams, w white wine, leks, kale, and chorizo were the best item after the oysters - very much like a classic Spanish/Portugese clam and sausage dish. If you're on this stretch of Divisadero, north of the Panhandle and Lower Haight, Bar Crudo is a good place to drop by for happy hour.

All the food was spiced very nicely and was very flavorful! The portions were very small, even for the main dishes, but the seafood was delicious. We had a reservation and got seated immediately when we entered. The food was also brought out pretty fast after we ordered. Overall cute interior with dim lighting and candles at each table.
